Are you are considering a piece of bespoke hand made furniture for your home?

I am a Brighton furniture maker and I provide a friendly and personal service. I would love to talk to you about the design ideas you have and my design and commissioning process.

If you like, I can advise on the choice of materials and finishes for your design to achieve precisely the style you are looking for.

Initially I like to make a home visit to be sure that I reflect your own style as I develop the design. It is also helpful to see the space and light in which the piece will sit.

I’ll then produce sketches for you to consider. On your approval, I will continue with more detailed plans from which I will craft your own unique piece of furniture.

The production time depends on the size and complexity of the commission, but with handmade furniture you can expect me to take a few weeks to make your bespoke design. Good quality bespoke furniture is unavoidably more costly than shop-bought pieces but I aim to provide excellent value for money with careful design and appropriate selection of materials and fixings.

If you’re thinking of having something made please get in touch, I’d love to hear your design ideas.

Dr Parvathi Raman, Raynes Park, London

Much-loved piece of family furniture

“Caroline has now made two pieces of furniture for me, a plant stand and a side table. I am delighted with both of them. I was consulted throughout the design stage, and advised on appropriate woods.

Caroline also listened carefully to what it was I wanted, and took note of where the pieces would be placed. Not only were they finished to a high standard, I was also very pleased with the attention to detail, and the special touches she added, such as lining the draws with cedar wood. They are both beautiful and have already become much-loved pieces of family furniture.

Working with Caroline was a pleasure, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. I hope she will be making another piece for us in the near future.”

Oak Wardrobes

Clare Baker, Brighton

Beautifully crafted, well thought out furniture

“As soon as I came across Caroline’s website, I knew I wanted her to make our wardrobes. And I was right! Caroline came to give us ideas of what might be possible in the space we had, ideas we had not thought of ourselves. She got a sense of who we were and consequently what type of design might work for us.

The end result is beautifully crafted, well thought out furniture that provides
optimum space and is visually stunning – we wish we had done it years ago! The skill involved in her work is exceptional and she thinks of every detail.

We highly recommend her work – you will definitely not be disappointed.

“Ever since I first contacted Caroline I knew that it was an excellent choice. I needed something little bit unusual, two matching cases for valve amplifiers, and I wanted to find someone who would add to the design choices.

Caroline has been a pleasure to work with, we communicated extensively in coming up with the final design, and the result is breathtaking – the fit and finish is absolutely perfect. I am looking forward to using her services for my next projects.”
